Let your misery shine by Vvlad-vVolfen Let your misery shine by Vvlad-vVolfen

This is not an original concept today as it had been back when this was just a monster found in my childhood nightmares. This oddity in particular stands out in my memory because it’s from a frequently reoccurring dream that went on for a while. Sometimes it was a tall biped, other time a quadruped, its legs and snout seemed to change in length frequently or sometimes its huge head was floating around my house. Yeah, I lost a lot of sleep over this big freaky bastard. But always had a fascination with it ever since. I'll add a notation that the sword is exaggerated in its size, complements of inspiration by the Pyramid-head character, but all other factors predate P-H.

Thank you for giving me one more thing to look over my shoulder for when I walk my dog at night...zombie jesus, what a face...

I'm sure it's been said already, but I'll say it again anyway...does this monstrosity and Pyramid Head ever compare notes?

Yeah he is a bit creepy, And a bit like PH but actually predates him by a few years. It's based on a reoccurring nightmare so it is as it generally appeared. Though the sword was only a blip in one nightmare and not nearly as big a blade. So yeah I guess PH rubbed off on the design a bit.

I'm not saying that PH influenced this at all, just that they do have a similarity.  PH is more iconic, but I think I'd start running faster from your nightmare.

Yeah PH is a monster icon I certainly can't compete with. I'd do fan art of him if I did fan art. But I don't anymore.
And I'd have to agree , my monster creeps me out more, I think childhood nightmares shape your phobias in a way, because I still find him creepy.

I find him creepy, and I only saw him earlier today!  I can't imagine how you must feel about this creation of yours.

Trust me the nightmare version was way-WAY creepier. It's legs changed in length, from towering to short., so did it's snout. And it's huge head would occasionally float around my house. Good god this is not the time to be thinking of this. I gotta go to bed in a few minutes...:omg:

Sorry to drag your thoughts to this subject so close to bedtime.  >_<

I had a funny thought...if you were having nightmares about this fellow before your knew about Silent Hill and PH, I could see a scene of PH trying to terrorize you in your sleep, and this one leaning in a corner just shaking his big, floating head.  "Please, lightweight...I've been at this for years, you're doing it wrong."

Yes indeed, big bad wolves have been at this for years and have it honed into an art form. though I think both are quite scary if encountered in a nightmare.
